My doctor wanted to rotate my pain killers to try something other than Targin. The pain specialist recommended Palexia - after a week on 100mg she prescribed 200mg after i reported the100 having no effect. Anyway 3 days of 200mg and I do not get any relief at all, then I take 2x 5mg endone for break through and pain is relieved, obviously that's not lasting so i need more later.
So I experimented today and took 300mg of Palexia (a 100mg and a 200mg together in one dose) and it still has no detectable effect on me, absolutely nothing - I have the same pain as if I did not medicate, and no side effects observed either.
Its as if the pills are a placebo.
Anyone else had such a distinct absence of effect from taking Palexia ?

Hi Jabjo ,
I’ve never taken palexia, I have heard some people say they don’t get good relief from it, others great results. Time to talk to your GP and see what else he can offer. As taking more than prescribed dose is not a great idea long term.
Hey as Vicki said please don’t take more medication than prescribed as your doctor needs to know how you are going he/she will then make an educated decision on whether you change , go up or whatever you could also talk to your pharmacist as their job is dispensing medication and knowing what it can do and if they converse with your GP your on a winner .
Self medicating is bloody dangerous
as long as I wake up alive I'm happy
Because it could be worse
