Hi
I started a thread on palexia in medications. I have nothing positive to report about this 'wonder drug.'

Yep, you are spot on. I did a 3 week detox (filled me with Ketamine - I thought LSD was wild.....) after being on the Oxy's, Lyrica etc.

Spent 2 months on Palexia, Jurnista etc.

Convinced my doctors that it wasn't working and was put back onto the Oxy's, just lower doses. Doses increase over time, go back for another detox and the dance starts again.....

Hi BluRob
Sometimes when you are desperate docs can convince you of almost anything, particular if it is a new 'wonder drug.'
I'm glad there are others in here who did not find it was the medication for them. I'm sure it must work for somebody, but I found sideaffects horrendous and then there was the withdrawals and I was only on low dose for 10 days!

I got rid of Palexia a long time back, but again I am on that medication dance you write about :(

Marley, I hear you.

Thankfully, my GP & Neurosurgeon understand me. Its the Pain Management dude that seems to be only concerned with "reducing your opiate intake." These dudes don't seem to understand that if you just wanted to get high, its a lot easier than arguing with them and in some circumstances, they deliver!!!

Australia's medical system is simply a joke. They say "there's no beds available." I go for a walk and there are empty wards everywhere, just no nurses.

I honestly believe that nurses and some doctors are the only one's who care. The actual medical administrators are only worried about budgets.

I won't say where or who, but, I was personally involved in a situation where the comment was made "we have reached the daily limit of morphine. You need to ring upstairs for authority to open another box." This is happening to a person who is in agony. Me. They have a daily allowance on morphine!!!!

Profit before people. I know I sound (read) like a loony, but, there's population control going on and most are blind to it.

hi Marley
that is terrible about the morphine.
but i understand where you are coming from .the pain specialist i was sent to was only interested in spine injections which ive had too many to count (none work) and lowering my tramal and put me on palexia.
this had horrible side effects and just did not work .but they wont accept that .
my own GP who is a good person as well as a great doctor just put me back on tramal and said stick with what works not the newest current trend.
i have never had a detox .may i ask why so many people have them im on 400mg tramal for 5 years now and no one has suggested a detox
