Guest I do not like seeing her in pain, and there is nothing I can do about it. On a positive note, we are currently getting sensational results from a spinal stimulator implant. Pain levels dropped from average 8/10 to 3/10.
Guest Seems never ending .
Guest quality of life taken away
Guest I have to try to work as well as look after my wife. I only cope at all because I can work from home some of the time.We get no help whatsoever because everything is means tested and I have some superannuation. Frakston ACAT refused to assess my wife for help in the home, saying they hadn't got the resources to help people in the home any more and could only deal with people who needed an aged care home. HACs domestic assistance is too limited and wouldn't do the dusting, which my wife can't do. They said I should do it after work. I can't because I have to cook all the meals as well as working.
Guest He has an illness unrecognised in Australia, untreatable and very real. He is more often than not in severe pain , leading to depression. He has Lyme disease, it is REAL.
