Welcome to Chronic Pain Australia
Chronic Pain Australia is the national voice for the 3.6 million Australians living with chronic pain. We are a non-profit, non-government, registered organisation founded in 2001. The organisation is driven by a group of committed volunteers advocating to reduce the social and economic barriers to those who live with chronic pain.
National Pain Week
National Pain Week is Australia’s annual awareness event for chronic pain. National Pain Week takes place in the last week of July each year. National Pain Week 2023 will run from 24-30 July 2023.
In 2022, Chronic Pain Australia advocated to ensure that all Australians living with chronic pain receive Triple AAA standards of care – Awareness, Accessibility and Affordability. A key focus of activities for National Pain Week 2022 was to promote more Awareness of the complex issues identified by our National Pain Survey 2022.
Chronic Pain Australia is actively seeking sponsors and collaborators for National Pain Week.
