Hi, I am glad they are working for you, eight years ago they worked brilliantly for me on a different problem. Then it was my knees, now it is my spine. This time the first one works and second one throws me into serotonin syndrome, which is really, really horrid.
Hope things are good for you.
Wendy
Hello Wendy
Im so pleased you've come to this site
Many of us have chronic pain over quite a long time.
It can be extremely challenging to cope with and I guess from the small amount you have described about yourself this is one of those times for you.
My heart goes out to you as I am sure many others on the site also feel for you.
Perhaps it may help us to help you to give us a brief (if possible ) history about about what you've gone through and where you are at now. The site has many things people have tried before and may be of help along with suggestions from the members.
Just recently I put a post for a coffee club in Melbourne and maybe that could be an option but as yet I havent heard from anybody maybe its just too cold or just to painful at this time anyway Im hoping.
Dont give up You do matter.
Warm regards from Arjay /Ron

Hi Arjay/Ron,
I did, a lengthy introduction and I didn't notice that it had logged me out because I took so long. So now I am going to retype it else where and cut and paste in here. Be back soon.
Wendy
This is my lllloooonnngggg introduction:
I will give you a run down on how my pain began. I think some of the reasons my body has decided to give up is that I am a very little, 147.3 cms, I did a lot of furniture moving, climbing around, painting, mans work, I had a very violent marriage, when that was over I worked with a twenty stone quadraplegic man who would not use his electric wheelchair at work, so it fell to me to get him in and out of his car and push his heavy wheel chair around on carpet.
Anyhow, enough of that, my hands were diagnosed with carpal tunnel in 1994, and released the same year, did not work. I saw many hand specialists, no answers until a physio did something to my neck, instant relief.
Then my knee, arthroscope, in my early forties. The orthopod was very sad at how unlucky I was and wanted to do a high tibial oestomoty, he did. No help, leaving me with one leg shorter than the other which increased the curl of my scoliosis and created my current problems.
Come 2002 my daughter was having her first child I moved to Melbourne from Sydney, at this stage my feet were totally collapsing, as I have lupus sle, RA, OA, etc and my knees were so awful I was going from chair to chair. This was a very bad move as my daughter seemed to have thought that I was here to take over house keeping for her, ha I still have a garage full of unpacked boxes.
2008, could now longer stand my knees. I asked for recommendations for a good orthopaedic surgeon made an appointment and had both knees replaced the next week, wonderful! Happy girl.
Both shoulders have torn rotator cuffs, have had one repaired, haven't wanted to go back for the other yet, for two reason, the pain gate theory, and the recovery from the operation is pretty hard.
In 2002 I first noticed sciatica it grumbled along with lower back pain i tried everything I knew to strengthen my core, then in about 2012 I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and several bulging discs, a severe scoliosis, hip bursitis and and. So since then I have seen a neuro surgeon who won't touch me, a pain specialist who this year has had me doing one week in hospital having a week long infusion of ketamine, won't do that again, they have the worst coffee, it did seem to cure my fibromyalgia pain. He has ablated the nerves in my spine, he has injected several different liquids in there, including autologous blood, nothing has worked. In that time I have been busy, I have been to Oesteopaths, chiropractors, dry needling, laser therapy, this I think has some efficacy with my bursitis, I have had myotherapy, Myoneural therapy, I get hopeful before and sad after. Everyone has a different diagnosis, it's my sij, sciatica, torn labrum, hips, piriformis syndrome, spinal stenosis, can't remember the rest.
How I stand at the moment, tomorrow the physio will tape my spine to see if that gives me any relief. The week after I see an orthopod to get his opinion, and I have an appointment in October with a neurosurgeon, who is also a professor, and very popular. So that's me. Happy days.

Good Lord. Wendy
It must be Karma from a previous life 🙁
In my case I was a mixture of Ghengis Khan and his awful relatives and many others I haven't heard about, but there must have been a lot. :S .
I also find it safer to keep saving my post every few lines as its annoying when you've written a book and it disappears. Hurumph.
Hope you come up with some relief with your new appointments, Keep us informed. 🙂
Regards Ron/Arjay
