Hi Cheryl, welcome. I can understand how you must feel if you struggle to move about, and reading people getting out and about I suppose is difficult, but we are all here to support each other in our achievements and most of us end up regretting those walks round the shops because we over do it anyways, so it's not all fun and games lol.everyone perceives pain differently and though some conditions/injuries can definitely be considered medically worse than others, we all deserve support and encouragement to help us get through the day. When you are ready, maybe you would like to share with us your condition or story so we can understand your frustration a little better and try a step in the right direction with showing you some support and offer some strategies or ideas that may help with your specific situation?

Best wishes and hope to see more of your posts around the forum, Tom

Hi Cheryl and welcome,

We are looking forward to hearing your story when you feel ready to share it. You will find a lot of support and encouragement/ideas here as we are all experiencing very similar things. I completely understand the frustration you are feeling.

Hi Cheryl and welcome to the forum, yes is does get upsetting when you see people doing things you only wish you could do yourself, chronic pain has this effect and lot of suffers have this type of frustration. I too would love to hear your story when you are ready to post, it goes to show how each of us are different in the way pain effects us and what does and doesn't work in the way of trying to control the beast within.
Just know you are among an understanding group who will never judge or criticise on how you are feeling, we are here to support each other and having somewhere to speak your mind and to be listened to.

Don

Hi Brad,

If your gut is that sore, maybe you should get yourself checked out? We can't always put everything down to chronic pain. It could be something quite different.

Brad, I have to agree with Mary. You need to NOT ignore everything. Pain in your stomach or belly region, could be caused by a whole host of reasons. Ignoring that, could possibly cause you some serious issues. At least if you get checked out, you won't have to stress about it any longer.

And remember, stress causes our pain levels to sky rocket and this could be part of the reason why your pain levels are so high.

Hi Brad,

There is no quick answer to this one. It is a matter of trial and error as to what works best for you. If you know that this kind of flare up will only last a day then try a hot bath, distraction with a movie and some cushions on the couch, heat packs. Whatever you know will help. Anything other than focussing on it I guess.

I have my plan for really bad flares, but it is different for everyone. Sometimes you may need to speak to your doctor about increasing meds. for a couple of days to get over the hump.

Also make sure that you haven't forgotten to pace yourself in the last couple of days 🙂

I hope that you are back on track really soon!

Hi Braddo, I have just had a similar vent inthe "Vent Topic", it really is a bugger
My thoughts are with mate, hang in there, it will pass.
I think I can lay some of the problem on the weather here, Raining solidly, and the barometer is reading the highest pressure that I seen in a long time.
