Physiotherapy or chiropractor
I am unable to continue seeing my regular physio Scott I have been with and his replacement I am not happy with. So I gave myself till Xmas to find one as good as Scott. First apt was Friday, but when I got their it was a chiropractor , I know my spine cannot be "cracked" so to speak. The new physio I wanted was 7 shops down, bugger. But I had to go or would be charged any way, I was given a three page questionaire to fill out . The guy who runs it calls me in, what a shock I was in for. After starting from first injury to last he then tested my hearing, eyes sight neck Range Of Motion , my arms/shoulders and their ROM, checked to see how far I could bend or twist, then repeated the same with hips and legs/feet. Then checked reflexes and checked with this funny looking mini cookie cutter thingy if I felt sharp or blunt. He looks at me and says your a bit of a mess . Then asks What do you think a chiropractor does ? I said crack joints , he said no I realign and free up your nerves , what would you like me to do for you? I said if you could get rid of this month long headache/ migraine would be a great start. Even though that's all he was meant to do on first visit. He did some gentle physio type traction on my neck and lumbar. Said he can't do much more till he sees my ct scans and asked how long ago I last had them, feb and august last year I said , he told me he will get the files up to look but they are too old, he wrote a referral for ct scan for my neck/ thoracic/lumbar and pelvis .
I see him again Tuesday morning.
Well I had no headache for a full 24 hours , what a relief.
He is an actual dr, instead of a gp, he is a chiropractor , and the most thorough health care provider I have ever come across, could he be too amazing. Maybe I don't need to search any further, how lucky and the bonus is he is cheaper than physio. Maybe I might get some relief after these horrible few months,
