Yes mate the IME said all of the through that I can't sit too long ,stand too long ,walk too far (100m) ,climb stairs, walk up or down slopes, can't lift, push or pull, can't drive for more than a half hour I think that was it but his last statement was he is able to work up to fourty hours a week in a suitable job?
The drongo didn't even suggest a job ,I went to a rehab officer she sat down with carol and I for over an hour and she stated that I am unable to do any form of work , the pension mob have now come back saying that the IMEs report is out of date and a new one is required (it was done in October)

Hmm, sounds like the drongo tag fits this clown.
If only there wasn't so much money tied up in all this. That is the only reason why we have so many problems with some clinicians, especially those tied up in the insurance and compo business.

R U OK Today?.......No I'm not, I am in so much pain, espeially my hands that all I want to do is cry. Just getting dressed hurts, brushing my teeth etc, etc hurts.Even 2 of the strogest pain killers do not do anything anymore. I can't even pick up a small jar of peanut butter for gods sake.
Can anyone tell me what would the hospital do if I went to the A & E?? I'm desperate here!!!!!

I think others have used the emergency dept when they are in so much pain. If you are that desperate, I would most definitely go there, because there is no point staying where you are when your pain levels are up so high.
I have done this in the past, when my false angina and other pain gets too much for me. Due to scar tissue in my thoracic region from an old whiplash injury causing 2 compression fractures, I get referred pain directly to my heart, lungs upper abdomen and rib muscles. So when I have a flare up or there is a deep low pressure system coming by, I get some pretty bad, but very classic angina symptoms.
In the late 90s I had an angiogram and since then have had regular ECT, Eco-cardiograms and stress ECTs, to make sure I am not ignoring a real heart problem.
Now I know this is heart related, but my problem is 100% chronic pain and they know it. It is better for you to go, than to stay and allow something more serious to occur like you doing something you shouldn't. And that can range from taking extra medication you should not take, to using alcohol or God forbid taking your own life. And I say these things with all seriousness and respect, because they are all options on the table for those who suffer moderate to severe long term chronic pain.
They should NOT be on the table, but because of the way things are with the lack of services and support for CP sufferers, they unfortunately are.
So, before you decide to do anything else, get yourself down to the emergency dept and see what they can do for you. Tell them that your normal regime is not working and that you have lost control over your pain. That it is now way out of control and you cannot take anymore.
And please let us know how you get on.

Hey Tequilablue,
I always think of the saying one tequila, two tequila, three tequila ? And I can't remember the rest ,I am in full agreement you should take yourself (I nearly said shiny little. ) down to emergency and they may have something wonderful to help you and you will at least have some healthy young men and women helping you.
So get your $$$$$ on its way down to emergency asap
Johnno
Go on get your butt down to emergency please !
as long as I wake up alive I'm happy Because it could be worse
Thanks Peter and Johhno
I got my butt off the lounge and went to the hospital. After waiting an hour to see a Dr she took me into a room and then said that there was a phone call waiting for her, so she left me in this small bloody room for over 30 minutes. Me being impatient (normally I am very patient) and in agony I picked my bag up and told the admin staff that I'd been waiting etc, etc, and was going home. They told me to wait and then rang through to the Dr who said she was consulting with a senior Dr about my pain. Anyway she came out about 15 minutes later and back to the same room, examined my hands, asked questions and then said she was going to consult with a senior Dr!!! MMMMM she prescribed me 7 x 25mg Prednisone but I can't take them until the morning as apparently they keep you awake at night. To really make my day she said go home and rest your hands......oh yeah!!!!! I also have to see my Dr again within 7 days.
Hugs

Tequilablue, I hope you can get some relief soon, hopefully the prednisone will start kicking in once you can start it ...
Hi again gayl
I see that they have prescribed one of my many tablets I have used over the years. Prednisolone is one of these.
Its a reasonable high dose to start off with but sometimes required.
They do have some side effects if taken on an empty stomach and can cause strong aggression impulses. I do hope they have given you a sheet regarding its usage and side effects. and stay away from people with coughs and colds as Prednisolone basically switches off your immune system thus reducing inflamation. I get quite paranoid when taking these ,avoiding sick people like the plague.
Apart from that Ive found them a great help when Ive needed them,
If you find you want to start punching holes in the wall or doctors who keeping you waiting for more than 20 minutes ,best contact the person doing the original prescription for advice and your coming right over
Explaining to the court "the tablets made me do it " doesn't work.
Even worse getting someone to repair the hole in the wall is near impossible, same with plumbers.
Hope you get a good nights sleep Arjay 🙂 🙂
Just saw the posts on Johnno's bath. Just what I needed to see for a laugh at 5 in the morning 🙂
And Johnno, thank you for having a bath! Lol!:)
Hi Ange
I'm Sorry It's late but Happy Birthday!:)
Hi Pam
WE'RE HERE FOR YOU!
I hope I can say this but that psychologist is a major dick. Please Pam you need to fight like we all know you can. I don't know what doctors your seeing but things got better with me once I started seeing a pain specialist. Maybe you also might want to think about getting a referral from your GP to a psychiatrist as well because they can administer meds whereas a psychologist can't.
If you want I can help you.
Cheers and Hugs
