Wow, I think somebody is playing games! I can't imagine that appearing on his page, true or not! Let's hope it's not. I am sure that they will not dump it though because they supported it totally. Maybe they are changing how it is run out or whatever, I guess we will just have to wait until they make a statement.

Wish they would hurry up and convene parliament so we all know what's going on, too much hearsay going on every where, before the election you could keep them out of the news and now nothing, it's a very worrying time, especially if you read what is being written about the TPP, this all needs to be cleared up so we know where we stand, a lot of scaremongering going on from both sides

i am on a consumer invlovlment committe at domicillary equipment service and we meet every month, as wel as consumers there are senior staff reps from a variety of disability service departments- we meet every month and part of the meeting is that we get feedback about what is happening with the NDIS trials- At the last meeting they gave us a very quick up date- the elecion did not seem to have altered anything- there has been talk about whether it will be called the DCIS or something else and they son't seem to have decidedd on evn that- her in south australia the trials will be focusing on children and what we had been told was that it was still very early in the whole process - its not that its being deliberately delayed , its that they want to make sure that they get it right! when the start date was annouced it made i sound like that was the start of services to clients but infact it is even earlier than that- i think they would have been far better if they had delayed the so called start until they had set upt the ground work first so we could see evidence of people actually getting services from NDIS rather than the current system- several people questioned whether the change in government would mean they would back out of the new scheme and the answer was very clear- there was nothing to indicate that the schem would not go ahead- its just a complicated task
my next meeting will be the beginning of november, if they tell us anything more definete about NDIS i will certainly pass it on
The name change has gone back to NDIS, why they changed it God knows, they spent a lot of money reprinting paper and letter heads only to change it back again, there is a lot of chatter on liberal facebook pages especially out of Qld that they are pulling it to pieces, that's the trouble when the public is not informed to what Government is doing. From my understanding nothing will be done until an audit is done on the state of finances, it would be a real pity if it does go backwards.

Hi all,
This thread has wandered way off topic - several times. I wonder if we could use the thread for its original intention which was to allow people who are frustrated or having a particularly bad day to have a vent. Remember, no doctor bashing or naming and shaming, just good old fashioned venting.
If you have something else that you wish to discuss, just go back to the General Discussions page and create a new topic.
Thanks everyone,
Mary

Hi Mary,
Thank-you so very much...
I'm so very sick of pain keeping me a wake!
I don't believe how one of my friends sends me a job thats 2 hrs away, when i'm not fit for work! They just don't get it!
All they see is someone very depressed... being in pain 24/7... is exhausting!
I'm just so disappointed with the couple of friends I have because the last time I went out I couldn't stand on my feet and I couldn't sit and all I wanted to do after a couple of hours was lay down so I did next to the car in a car park...and waited and waited and waited in the freezing cold because it would've cost too much for a taxi. So in the last few months they have never asked me to go out with them again. I'm seeing my pain specialist soon and I want to be referred on as he hasn't been able to help me. He's judged me, so this will be my last visit to him. Its time to move on and get some answers to this condition.
Mary do you have constant twitching in your legs with the electrical zapping?
Hi Eliza,
No I don't, but I do have restless legs syndrome. However, that isn't connected to the chronic pain because I have had it all my life. My mother had it too as did her mother. I hope that you can get some satisfaction if you can get referred to a new doctor. However, remember that there is no magic bullet! I think that we may have talked about this before, so I won't bore you again 🙂

Eliza I do when the nerve is playing badly usually it is just constant pain, but then it starts to spasm, and I get different types of sensations from burning, stabbing and like current is running down my leg.
Hope you get your referral, hopefully gets some answers as well.

Need to Vent, I had my manual nerve treatment yesterday for my right arm and shoulder I wish they would cut my arm off !
I have had tears today pain give me a break please ............ 🙁
Hi SL,
Sorry that you are having such a bad day. Is this the usual reaction to your manual nerve treatment; what is that BTW? - I have never heard of it, so it would be interesting to know.
Do you get relief the next day (tomorrow) or does it take longer. The only thing that I could suggest for you is distraction, such as music or a movie or relaxation exercises. However, if it is really bad, sometimes that can be difficult to do too.
All the best and I hope that tomorrow is a better day for you.

Hi Mary, thank you for your kind words manual nerve therapy even though I have the neuromodulation system it doesn't how ever connect to my right arm and shoulder it merely treats my spinal pain from neck to lower back. What happens is my nerves in my right arm and shoulder and muscles become so tight for use that it limits my movements and I get a chronic ache when manual therapy is done they manual stretch my nerves with body movements its all done by a physiotherapist how ever my treatment can cause increasing pain for 2-3 days so the down side is I suffer in pain but after that it becomes better its a life treatment I go once a month to my physio to have this treated. Some times I wish they would cut my arm off at least there would be no nerves to give me grieve any more. 🙁
Hi SL,
I don't know if this idea would help but I bought a TENS machine from aldi battery powered /portable for about $50 it can work wonders if you find the right spot
