Sounds like you had a great time Johnno - apart from coming home sick. The same thing happened to us earlier this year. It took ages to stop coughing! Not so good about the redundancy though 🙁 I can't believe that one. Right after you got back - unbelievable. I hope you can sort out the financial side worked out. You may need someone who knows the ropes to help there.

I agree, a holiday can certainly provide relaxation and distraction. Love the pic!

Hi Mary,

Good news a chap I worked with in the old business has given me work he'll pay my fuel , I supply the car , he supplies a phone & I just go out and chase up work .
Hours wise I'm doing about 25 hours a week and have been the happiest I've been in four years I don't fear going to work.
Karma they say goes a full circle I am going around seeing all my old clients and they are following me to the new company , I didn't sign a decree stating I wouldn't visit my old customers

What fantastic news Johnno! I am so pleased for you. You had great courage to stick it out as long as you did and being made redundant under those circumstances is simply not fair.

I hope that the new job continues to go really well for you and I am sure that being happier will help your pain levels enormously 🙂

Keep us posted!

Johnno,

You are right about Karma. I am a full believer that everything happens for a reason. I have lost jobs in the past and been gutted by it. But then ended up with something much better. Actually, one job I lost and never got a better job, but a few months after I had been laid off, they had a serious accident there and people were hurt. It was an ammonia leak, which is very deadly. So, I was looked after. If I was still working there, I would have been in the thick of it.

Really glad you have doing so much better now and are happy. Well done!

Peter

you were retrenched. As you said you didnt sign a decree , and obviously your previous customers know good service and want it to continue , so have followed you which is great.
Well done, and enjoy mate , you deserve some good karma coming your way

So sorry to hear this Wendles. Take heart in knowing that your Dad is not suffering any more. i know how you feel because my Dad went through the same thing with cancer - too early! Be kind to yourself.

Hi Wendles,

Really sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Please accept our sympathies from all here at Chronic Pain Australia. It's a terrible time losing loved ones, especially if they are close to us and they have suffered greatly.
You and the rest of your family are in our thoughts.

Take Care!
