New layout
I have to admit I'm not a fan of the new layout and probably won't bother to come back .
Thanks for the support I recieved in the past but this new style is not for me .
So I came back and I'm the only one online .this used to be a popular place where you could discuss topics and get advice
What has happened????
Hey David,
yeah I know new layout what a pain but trust me have a look through and play around a bit and it seems to feel comfortable, unfortunately the old system was outdated and we had to do an upgrade .
live been around for about 10+ years and I’ve seen some changes one of our head moderators had to take a leave of absence as they are not too well ,I’ve been in hospital had a hip replaced the two weeks later I came down with septicaemia and spent two weeks in hospital I got out and had two weeks at home then back in with a blood infection (three bacteria in my blood)it’s taken me from the 25th Jan to now to feel safe to do things on top of that I’ve had chronic pain to contend with .
sorry I missed your previous

Hi johnno sorry to hear you've been in the wars.i hope it's all on the right path to heal now.
I have been having a few issues of my own with nerve pain spreading to nothing legs and feet along with left arm.
Arm is useless now as I drop things at times and I have to be careful when walking as left leg just folds up.
Been to 2 neurosurgeons and both say nothing can be done after a barrage of tests.trying an osteopath now but this is the last resort if she can't ease pain it's time for me .
Anyway I hope you are getting better and wish you a speedy recovery
Dave

Mid North Coast nsw .I've been seeing g 2 neurosurgeons in Newcastle and I was referred to the 2nd by first .I can make it there travel wise it's only 180klm but takes me 3hrs with stops.i stay over with daughter before trip home or it just would not be possible to do .
I think I've had every scan and test done and they all say the nerves are damaged in spine and nothing can be done to fix.
I appreciate the offer but travel to Brisbane wouldn't be possible
Dave,
a couple of thoughts I saw a Brain and spine specialist here in Brisbane and found I have idiopathic peripheral neuropathy which is part of my issues .
I like you saw two neurosurgeons with MRIs and the offer was oh we could operate if you want or whatever , I saw another nuero who saw the MRI from approx 6months prior and she said “oh sh%t) I was sent for full flexion X-rays , MRIs and CT with radiation I went back and saw her and she had me in for surgery within a week , it helped heaps .
Im not saying that this is going to help you but it helped me , there is a lot of different medications that can reduce nerve pain and it’s a big list , you could discuss all options include your pharmacist, doctor, pain specialist etc .
you could look at a pain clinic which can help some or look at getting denervation (Radiofrequency Nuerotomy) I have this every six months.
Nerve pain in itself is extremely hard to live with but if we can work on it there’s possibly something that will help .
