Hello, my name is Michael and I have medically diagnosed adhesive arachnoiditis. I live in Brisbane and have tried everything - except spinal stimulators - which the specialist feels is too risky, to deal with the horrendous pain and disability that is associated with this illness. The only help I've been able to access has been from a clinic in the US that specialises in arachnoiditis, and uses some medications that doctors don't use here. My GP has worked within this protocol as far as he is legally able, but I'm at a point now where I'm thinking of travelling to the US to try this clinic. Has anyone else come across it? Or tried it? Would really appreciate any info about help in Australia for this awful incurable disease (sometimes known as "failed back surgery", which it is in my case). Many thanks in advance - Michael.
