This is my first post on this group, I live in the Central Coast of NSW. I’m having trouble finding a good GP and pain specialist to help me with chronic pain.
The pain clinics I’ve been to just want to do medical procedures which have caused me more pain and haven’t helped with my existing chronic pain. I’m frustrated that I can’t find anyone willing to help. My GP just keeps giving me new scripts for Endone which at best takes a little bit of the edge off the pain. I saw him yesterday and asked him about Low Dose Naltrexone and He got quite agro and insisted on giving me a referral to a pain specialist that I had seen in the past who just wants to do the same surgical procedures he has already done without success. He has suggested the pain is in my head which is pretty insulting really as all the muscles in my neck and back are constantly tight and very painful and the physio just can’t believe how tight all my muscles are. I’m in pain 24/7 and need someone who will listen to me and work with me.
Sorry about the rant but if anyone can give me suggestions for a good pain specialist it would be most appreciated
