Dear Members,

Some of you may have noticed in the Forum top menu bar that there is a "Private Message" (PM) tab/option on the far right hand side.

Okay, here is how you use it.

If you wish to send a member a message you can do it one of two ways.

1. You can go to the private message tab, click on it and it will take you to the message page. Click on 'Compose', then to enter a member into the 'to' box, look across to the far right hand side and you will see 'userlist' click on that and a drop down list will appear. Select the member from the drop down list, whose name will then appear in the 'to' box.

2. If you are looking at someone's post and you wish to contact them, look in the left hand column and down below all the info where the small icons are like Karma etc, you will see a little message bubble. Click on the message bubble, which will take you to the page where you compose a message, and then follow the same method as above to create your message.

RULES!

Please be aware that there is no way any member can 'BLOCK' an another member who is bullying. This software is free, so it lacks some more specific functions.

Every member who uses this PM, will be covered by the same rules that apply to the whole forum and those who choose to deliberately break the rules, will be dealt with in the same manner as in the Forum proper.

If you are being harassed, then please do not hesitate to contact the moderators. The moderators will then investigate and contact the offending member privately to attempt to stop this.

If the harassment is of a bad kind, the proof will be in print and the offender will be immediately banned and have their profile deleted.

Common Sense!

Here is some commons sense to people who see themselves as a victim:

If you feel you are being targeted by another member and you have informed the moderators, but they have not yet responded and you keep getting messages from the offender, DON'T READ THEM!!!

This is not FaceBook and we are all adults here. If someone is harassing you and you want keep reading their messages, then you are asking to be hurt and to suffer this negative attention.
Don't do it!
All you have to do is select the offending messages and hit DELETE!

We have the opportunity to test this now over the next few months, so hopefully it will work out okay, especially for you night Owls.

Always remember that if you have any problems, please do not hesitate to contact us moderators.

One more thing. If you are being harassed, please DO NOT send your message to the moderators through the PM system. Please find a post, any post on the forum and send a message to us through the "Report to Moderator" button. This will then send a message to our email accounts that we have on our computers at home, which means we will probably get the message quicker.

Please get involved and enjoy, but remember one thing, the PM function is not designed to replace the forum threads.

I wish the ring (this Chronic Pain) had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. (Frodo Baggins)
So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to us. (Gandalf the Grey)
