National Pain Week

National Pain Week is Australia’s annual awareness event for chronic pain. National Pain Week takes place in the last week of July each year. National Pain Week 2024 will run from 22-28 July 2024.

In 2023, Chronic Pain Australia advocated to reduce the social and other barriers related to living and managing chronic pain. With the theme ‘Let them know how strong you are’ and ‘painchanger’ to break down the stigma of talking about and seeking care for people experiencing chronic pain. Many are taught to hide their pain for fear of appearing weak.

A key focus of activities for National Pain Week 2023 was to promote more Awareness of the complex issues identified by our National Pain Survey 2023.

Chronic Pain Australia is actively seeking sponsors and collaborators for National Pain Week.
