Does anyone else here suffer night pain? It’s horrendous, stops you from sleeping. Try to move in bed to change position is just cruel. How it’s so much easier to stay awake as long as possible. Less time in bed the better.
It got to the point enough is enough.
I went to my gp and he has written a referral for me to see the dr who wrote the report out on my last ct scan.
I went straight to the imaging place I had it done and ask if I could make appointment over the counter and she said I could. There is a months wait to see him and she said he will order a MRI and a bone scan. Then any injections he recommends are covered by Medicare. Thank heavens for Medicare. I really didn’t want injections, just the thought of the last one I had stresses me out. but can’t handle this night pain anymore. Harpy
Good to hear about the Shingles pain Harpy. Knowing my luck, I'll be a candidate for it too. Hopefully not!
As for pain at night. Sigh! I hate going to bed. It is the single most painful thing I can do. Virtually every single morning I am driven out of bed somewhere after 4.00 am, because I am just aching with pain, sometimes throbbing. My neck, shoulders and right arm and sometimes my back, just ache so badly that I never go into to a deep restful sleep. I hate it big time. Wish I could have a general anesthetic each night to knock me out for 6 or 8 hours. I would be feeling like a million dollars if I could.
What to do about it? Who knows! Probably be like this till I kick the bucket if you ask me. Drugs aren't the answer. They just make it worse!

I wish the ring (this Chronic Pain) had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. (Frodo Baggins)
So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to us. (Gandalf the Grey)
It sure is the worse part of chronic pain Peter. I have brought it up to a few dr’s over the last few years. They just say it’s because your adrenaline of the day winds down and there’s mother to distract you , then I just focus on the pain at night while it’s quiet. I tell them no. It’s a different pain , a pain I can’t ease. Really does your head in pain.
Mm a thought in place. Oh for more than a 20 minute kip at a time.
I wear a fit bit and it’s my proof when I tell drs I don’t sleep I show then it on the app on my phone. Harpy
Hi guys, we after going to my gp about this night pain I ask to see the pain dr who wrote the report on my last lumbar X-ray. ( I wanted to talk pain relief) Well seen him , he ordered a bone scan and a mri. I went back to him to get reports. He had my imaging up on the screen and explain the problems then tells me to go with his assistant, he prepared me up for an injection in right side C3/4. I said I wasn’t expecting this I was going to talk about it, he said well it didn’t give you a chance to back out. I have also had one left side C2/3 another at C5/6 and one at L5/S1. Now I am waiting review as there is a few more to do. It has helped some of the shoulder/arm/hand pain tingling and numbness. But oh boy I can’t handle this feet pain and right knee pain. It’s started a week before injection so it wasn’t the cause. So hard to get around, it’s like every bone in my feet are broken, do you have feet pain? How do you settle it. Less pain to you all, harpy
Yep I get feet pain it’s like walking on a mixture of LEGO and marbles I know your pain I also get nerve pain (burning ) and I went to a Brain and spine specialist he did some tests and his prognosis is peripheral nueralgia but he’s ordered blood tests to check
I make some good cookies so if my nerve pain is bad I’ll eat a cookie with a glass of milk it settles it down

as long as I wake up alive I'm happy
Because it could be worse
