What you describe sounds a lot like what I experience in most of my body, minus the sweating (though this too can be a component). Do you get any discolouration of the skin on your arm as well - or just the change in temperature?
I can't help wondering if you need to badger a doctor into looking a complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) ...or at the very least making an attempt to rule it out. It can occur after an injury or the result of another condition and causes visible/detectable changes like swelling, skin that is hotter or colder than normal, wetter or drier than normal, may be discoloured. And goes almost without saying that it causes severe pain.
they have looked at that being the cause.... we have tried all of the medications that usually help with it, i have had nerve blocks done i have had testing to see which medication helps me but nothing seems to work.... have you found anything that helps with the pain???
MrsBlack96 I I had a spinal stimulator inserted, it is similar to a pace maker where 2 leads are positioned in your spinal column resting against where the nerves travel the spinal cord and a battery-control unit in my left butt cheek it send electrical pulses to the nerves where the pain travels to the brain blocking pain signals, it doesn't stop all pain or breakthrough pain but it is not 10+ all the time like it was all the time. If you have ever used an tens machine the sensation is similar but on the inside, you can have multiple programs and regulate how strong of a pulse you require.
