It sounds like you should be funded under TAC. ( I happen to be a former TAC solicitor). So, it's likely you will spend some time at Vic Rehab. Further to what Jamie rightly said, you should investigate mindfulness which is linked to meditation.

I have found mindfulness incredibly helpful to jump-start myself out of unhelpful mantras or frustrating, yet redundant pain cycles.
If you are seeing a psych, they should be able to point you in the direction of a mindfulness professional, or be able to assist you themselves. It is most definitely a "big thing' in psychology right now, and is very much linked to meditation.
Once you get it right, it can feel like a superpower.
