A Record-Breaking Ride: 33 Hours to Champion Chronic Pain Awareness

In an extraordinary test of endurance, resilience, and community spirit, seasoned athlete Mark Brinker will lead a historic effort to break the Guinness World Record for the longest static cycle class. He is a passionate advocate for health and wellness and a long-time supporter of chronic pain initiatives.

This monumental 33-hour cycling challenge will take place in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. It will raise awareness of chronic pain and the millions of Australians living with various invisible conditions.

Brinker, a passionate advocate for health and wellness, will be joined by a team of 20 dedicated endurance athletes. Among them are eight riders from the 2022 record-breaking attempt, where a 30-hour ride earned global recognition.

This time, they aim to surpass the current record of 31 hours and 34 minutes. More than just a feat of physical stamina, this event represents a movement of solidarity and hope for those affected by chronic pain.

“This ride is not just about setting a new world record,” said Brinker. “It’s about raising awareness, turning determination into impact, and showing the strength of the chronic pain community. We’re riding to amplify support for Australians living with chronic pain, and we’re inviting everyone to join us in this mission.”

Stringent guidelines from Guinness World Records will govern the record-breaking attempt, ensuring every second is meticulously documented. Participants will follow synchronised cycling schedules with minimal rest, pushing their mental and physical boundaries in a collective display of perseverance.
